|
The Stress Institute was established to serve as a center
for collection and dissemination of information on the impact of stress on our
lives. Comprised of prominent
physicians, professionals in a variety of stress related disciplines, and lay
individuals we are interested in exploring the various effects of stress on our
mental, physical and spiritual well being.
The Stress Institute evolved out of Wellness Solutions at
Oak Haven. Wellness Solutions was
founded in 1997 by Dr. Hall as a center to learn about the science of mind-body
medicine, stress reduction practices and self care. After many years of working with patients and
clients Dr. Hall discovered stress was at the root of most of the diseases and
conditions that inhibited health and wellness in individual’s lives.
Dr. Hall has been working with individuals, patients and
corporations for more than 15 years specifically with stress management and
life balance. As the educator and group
facilitator of a hospital based cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation and wellness
program since 1998, Dr. Hall has become a world renowned expert in stress and
work-life balance.
Scientific research reveals the catastrophic effect that
stress can have on our mental, physical and spiritual health and well being.
The Stress Institute is not therapy, but rather is an
educational facility that gives you a blueprint for a healthy lifestyle. We offer education and experiential training
in the areas of stress and work-life balance.
We teach individuals how to develop stress hardiness by creating their
own stress management plan. We have
created strategies and tools for healthier living for individuals and
corporations.
We provide education on how to embrace a healthy
lifestyle. Our program can help prevent
and benefit a wide variety of conditions as well as optimizing health and wellness.
You can improve the quality of your life by learning how to manage a chronic
health problem.
Working with corporations we develop and implement
integrative programs for wellness, stress reduction and work-life balance.
We maintain a constantly updated library of information on
stress related topics from the Stress Institute’s research, scientific and lay
publications and the work of Dr. Kathleen Hall.
The Stress Institute does not provide clinical services nor
are we able to respond to requests for assistance with personal problems other
than to suggest resources that may be helpful when appropriate.
